Hey there! I’m Daniel Schwab and I’m here to make your life a little brighter.
I’ve shared the stage with some of the greats. Donna McKechnie taught me the importance of work ethic with her steadfastness and commitment to her craft. Andrea McArdle showed me how to give new life to a classic song. Kassie DePaiva proved to me with her kindness and generosity that well-known actors want the very same honesty and connection on stage that I do.
My passion for music was fostered in church choir and eventually took me around the world singing in the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales. But it wasn’t until high school that my love of theatre came into focus.
When it came time to pick a major in college, I couldn’t decide between theatre and music. Naturally, I chose to combine the two with a theatre arts degree concentrating in musical theatre. My fascination with the human spirit further led me to minor in psychology.
In one of our first rehearsals for ‘1776‘, Frank Galati said, “Our devotion to theatre springs from a desire to experience other lives more dangerously tangled even than ours.” Acting demands an intimate understanding of a separate human experience than our own.
My greatest joy comes from engaging in the artistic community and building new relationships with fellow artists. Storytelling is a tradition that began when the world was created. I’ve loved taking part in that tradition and can’t wait to create more experiences that affect change in our culture.
Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to make yourself at home and drop me a line if you’d like to add to the conversation!
